The Bay Taupo situated at the end of the Acacia Bay straight, just down the road from Taupo Town. The Bay offers the community the perfect destination to socialise, dine, relax and unwind with family and friends. Position Description: Chef de Partie (minimum 2 years Kitchen experience or relevant experience) You will have a passion for food and will be proud to serve the dishes coming out of our kitchen. This role will predominantly be running a pizza station, prepping and cooking pizzas and making desserts. This is a full-time role, with a minimum of 32 hours per week guaranteed. Paid weekly in the pay range of $24 - $29 per hour. Located at The Bay Bar and Brasserie, Acacia Bay, Taupo. 703 Acacia Bay Road, Acacia Bay Taupo. Qualifications and Requirements: You must have 2 years of Kitchen or Relevant experience and a minimum of New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (Level 3). You will be responsible for setting up the kitchen, prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation and cleaning standards, among other responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & EXPECTATIONS Creating a great kitchen environment and being a part of the kitchen team • Effectively communicate with the Owner and/or Head Chef, receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary. • Capable of creating and executing dishes that set us apart and keep people coming back for more. • Manage and report on food costs, ordering, stock take and inventory control • Follow, manage and maintain correct HACCP policies and procedures • Assist in maintaining the Food Safety Plan • Creating new recipes and ideas to keep the menu fresh, keeping up to date with industry trends. • Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen. • Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes. • Work well under pressure and within the time limit. • Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner. • Make sure the kitchen, food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards. • Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked. • Stock inventory and supplies and check food and ingredients for freshness and placing orders to replenish stock • Any other task required to help the kitchen and business succeed • Help planning the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients. • Help teach staff to prepare and cook menu items
