Why Join Gavins? We’re a hardworking, down-to-earth team based in Waikato, keeping things moving across our agricultural contracting, transport, and milling operations. Our fleet includes everything from tractors and harvesters to trucks and loaders – and we need someone who can keep them in top condition. What You’ll Be Doing: * Servicing and repairing our fleet of agricultural, earthmoving, and heavy transport equipment * Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues * Conducting preventative maintenance to keep breakdowns to a minimum * Working closely with operators and our workshop team to ensure machinery is running efficiently during peak seasons * Welding and fabrication (a bonus but not essential) What We’re Looking For: * Trade qualification or solid experience as a diesel mechanic * Experience with agricultural machinery, heavy transport, or earthmoving gear * A practical, problem-solving attitude – we want someone who gets the job done * Ability to work independently but also as part of a tight-knit team * Class 2, 4, or 5 licences (or willing to get them) a bonus
