Hitachi Speed Controller Inverter Drive - This was an upspec'd, aprrox $4000, Factory Option at the time of Purchase Order and is indicated by the "V" (Variable) in the GL6241V Model Name. This enables fully variable speed control (Across two Gearing Ratios 40-500rpm, or 500 - 3000rpm) on the fly and rapid back feeding when thread cutting and increasing rpm while Parting Off etc, etc. This means no Gear Changes required, better torque etc. Other Features: - 3 Jaw High Precision Chuck is still measuring to original TIR (run out) of original Manufacturers Specs, so there is no detectable wear, no Bell-Mouthing of Jaws etc. - 4 Jaw Chuck and Face Plate as well as Travelling Steady etc have never been used and are as new - Additional Tooling includes: 4 Station Quick Change Tool Post, Carbide Tip Parting Tool, Carbide Tip Boring Bars etc, etc, Lathe Toolbox. - Solid Mehanite Cast Base to dampen vibration and enhance Part Surface Finish. - Weight: 1600kg.
