Location: Porirua, Wellington Company: Tanker Solutions Ltd Employment Type: Full-Time Start Date: Immediate or by negotiation Tanker Solutions Ltd is New Zealand’s leading manufacturer and service provider of fuel tankers, with over 500 units built since 2007. With continued growth and exciting projects ahead, we’re looking for a skilled AutoCAD Operator to join our experienced design and engineering team. About the Role: As our AutoCAD Operator, you’ll work closely with our engineers and workshop team to produce high-quality technical drawings for fuel tanker builds and remounts. Your drawings will help bring innovative tanker designs to life—supporting safety, compliance, and top-tier functionality. Key Responsibilities: • Create detailed 2D CAD drawings for new builds and remounts • Update and revise technical drawings based on project changes or client requests • Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, CNC machining teams and laser cutting teams • Maintain drawing records and documentation in line with quality standards • Ensure designs meet relevant heavy transport and dangerous goods safety regulations and standards What We’re Looking For: • Proficiency in AutoCAD - 2D essential • Experience in Solidworks advantageous • Previous experience in heavy transport vehicle and/or fuel tanker drafting preferred • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills • Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team • Experience and knowledge of the New Zealand transport industry would be advantageous • Understanding of NZ heavy transport • Dangerous goods regulations (preferred, not essential) What We Offer: • Competitive hourly rate or salary (based on experience) • Friendly, down-to-earth team culture • Stable, long-term work in an essential industry • Opportunities to grow with the company • On-site parking and great facilities in Porirua Ready to Join Us?
