You will be responsible for implementing traffic management plans, overseeing a team of traffic controllers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. This is a key role where your expertise will contribute to the smooth running of our projects and the safety of all road users. This is a permanent, full-time role working primarily Mon-Friday starting at 6am. You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week and have the flexibility to work additional days/hours to meet the business needs. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and lead a team of traffic controllers. * Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including CoPTTM standards. * Monitor traffic flows and adjust management plans as needed. * Conduct site inspections to ensure safe and efficient traffic management. * Liaise with site managers, contractors, and local authorities. * Provide training and support to traffic controllers. * Report on traffic management activities and incidents. What you'll bring to the role * STMS Qualification with either Category A B practising * A safety-first attitude - for yourself, your team and the public * Full clean New Zealand Driver's License, Minimum Class 1, class 2 desirable * Sound verbal and written communication skills * Previous experience mentoring and supervising crews * Proven experience in the traffic industry * A high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role * Reliable, honest and flexible Higgins is a leading roading and civil infrastructure company in New Zealand.
