TAIERI GOLF CLUB – GREENKEEPER About the Taieri Golf Club Taieri Lakes Golf Course is an 18-hole course with tree-lined fairways and five lakes situated 15 minutes from the Octagon (92 Milners Road, North Taieri). Current membership of 430. About the Role This role supports the existing Greenkeeper in being responsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of the Taieri Lakes Golf Course. The greenkeeper is charged with maintaining a good playing surface to ensure the course offers a consistent challenge and an enjoyable experience to golfers. Required Skills and Experience • Holds a NZ Certificate in Turf Management • Approved Handlers Certificate (Agrichemicals) Growsafe is desired • Holds a full NZ Driver’s licence • Previous experience working in a greenkeeping/assistant greenkeeper capacity. • Able to demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude • Good written and oral communication skills • Computer literate – able to maintain up to date records • Able to take direction and is open to learning • Good communicator who builds positive working relationships and able to engage with a wide range of people with ease. • Adheres to and promotes the core values of Taieri Lakes Golf Course • Is dependable, honest and reliable • Shows initiative and good planning • Intuitively knows what is right and will do the right thing when no one is looking • Thinks and acts “safety first” • Focused on providing a high level of quality in all activities undertaken.
