Inundated with applicants - applications for this part-time position now closed Elms Court on Middlepark (75 Middlepark Road) is a rest home and hospital in Sockburn, Christchurch. We are one of four Elms Court homes within Christchurch, all of which are family owned and operated. We are looking for a fun, friendly and capable person to join our team as a care partner. Minimum hours per week offered are 22.5 on PM shifts, however opportunity for more if wanted. We are only considering people with valid and current work visa or residency. Unfortunately we will not be sponsoring staff. Ideally the successful candidate will be experienced, and hold level 3 or higher qualification. However we will consider all applicants if they hold the important qualities of friendliness, motivated, confident, flexible and a can do attitude to be part of our team. Join our dynamic team in a key role delivering high-quality civil construction. We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in their work. The role is full time and includes a range of well-maintained modern earthmoving machinery and a variety of projects across the Canterbury Region (based in Timaru) for our construction company. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and manage daily tasks efficiently to meet project timelines and optimize resource use. • Interpret construction plans and collaborate with the Project Manager to implement practical, effective solutions. • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and management. • Share knowledge with team members. • Maintain accurate daily records, including resource allocation, health and safety updates, and productivity reports. • Operate a variety of heavy machinery (wheeled and tracked), including fitting and removing attachments as required. • Perform general civil construction duties, including lifting, carrying, and site preparation. What we are looking for: Having proven experience in operating machinery and Class 4 Full driver's license with WTR endorsements is essential or even better a class 5 with WTR license endorsements. Physical fitness and self-motivation Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive, safety-conscious approach to work.
