About the job: We're looking for an experienced Wastewater Technician to join our team in Timaru. The role involves actively maintaining water wastewater networks on a reactive or scheduled basis to contract specifications. This may include: o General labouring such as cleaning, clearing, lifting or other civil work. o Use and maintain hand tools. o Operate plant as required such as Loaders, Rollers and Trucks. What you'll need: o Ideally you will have previous experience in maintaining sewer and/or stormwater systems or experience within the construction and utilities industry. o We need someone who is able and willing to participate in the on-call and standby roster. o You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused, and work well in a team as well as independently. o A full class 1 licence and an ability to drive a manual is also essential. All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer's satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
