Working with sheep, this position is based in a small friendly team that has daily production targets with set procedures and protocols to follow. Ideally, the preferred applicant will: • be fit and strong with good stamina to keep up with the steady pace of work. • preferably have experience handling animals (sheep), although full training is provided • have neat and tidy handwriting and be able to keep accurate, clear records. • enjoy working in a rural setting • have a ‘can-do’ attitude; • fit in well in a small team; • follow instructions; • be reliable • have a positive, hardworking, professional, no-nonsense attitude • be friendly, with a good sense of humour • hold a current driver’s licence (essential). This is a permanent part-time position; two days a week (Thursday and Friday), 16+ hours a week. Transport is available from Timaru most days. We are looking for seasonal tractor operators to come and join our team for the 2025 season. We run a modern fleet of tractors with auto-steer and we specialise in precision planting, direct drilling, cultivation and baling. You will be operating our cultivation and baling gear, will be drilling if you have the experience. If you have a great attitude and experience, then this would be ideal position for you!!!! It would be Advantageous to you if you had experience in boom spraying. We can work in with you on the length of time, ideally starting in September, can be up until December but could go through to March if you would like to work on a cropping farm during harvest. We are an agricultural contracting business, which is located in South Canterbury, in the Waimate District. We work with small to large clients and varying terrain working on flat land by the sea through up into the hills. We are centrally located to beaches, mountains, lakes and cities. Which you can make the most of on your days off.
