Lone Star Farms is seeking a motivated and experienced Block Manager to join the team at Caberfeidh Station, a 5,300ha (effective) breeding and finishing operation in the Hakataramea Valley. This high-performing farm winters around 30,000 stock units, peaking at over 40,000su, and includes 720 Angus cows, 14,500 Headwater ewes and replacements, plus a significant trading and finishing enterprise. The Role As Block Manager, you'll play a key leadership role—working closely with the management team and leading a skilled team of 4 staff to meet our financial, production, and performance targets. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of 2,500ha, including: • 200ha under pivot irrigation • 800ha of hill country • 1000ha rolling to flat country • Diverse land use with high-quality forages like lucerne and chicory • A mix of experienced and developing shepherds to support This is a unique opportunity to build your career in a progressive, supportive environment where team culture and wellbeing are top priorities.
