Noritake (Morimura Bros) Nippon 5x Coffee Cups & Saucers, Sugar Bowl & Milk Jug. We cant find the pattern but the porcelain mark was registered in 1909 in England. 5 Cups and 6 Saucer, one Milk Jug and one Sugar Bowl. The Sugar bowl is missing the lid and one cup has some chips around the rim, some small ware on some of the gold Gild. Measuemets Cup 45mm x 47mm H Saucer 104mm Dia -Jug 55mm Dia x 65mm H - Sugar bowl 76mm DIa x 53mm H All measurements are plus handles. "Komaru" symbol. Crowned with "Noritake" and below the mark "Made In Japan". The centre symbol said to be taken from the Japanese character "Komaru", meaning "overcoming difficulties". According to the Noritake company tradition this mark was designed when meeting the different culture of the west early in the 20th century caused many problems, also known as the "tree crest mark" which is the clan crest of the Morimura family. This mark is said to have been registered in London for the UK market already in the 1909. Notice the curled up ends of the Komaru symbol which distinguish this mark from later versions.
