📅 Start Date: Flexible (2025) As soon as possible. 💼 Employment Type: Full-time – NZD $30/hour 🌍 Visa Support: Accredited Employer Work Visa available for the right candidate 🔹 About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and independent Dog Trainer to join our growing team. THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR BEGGINERS. We require someone who is already skilled, confident, and capable of working with a variety of dog temperaments and training methods. 🐶 Job Description: Your responsibilities will include: Training dogs through private sessions, based on each client’s specific requests Managing and delivering group sessions, including structured puppy classes Working with our Dog Daycare dogs to help them behave well in a group environment Creating and leading enrichment activities to enhance the dogs' daycare experience Driving dogs to and from their homes for daycare and training sessions (company vehicle provided) This is a dynamic and rewarding role, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, dog-focused environment and enjoys building strong relationships with both dogs and their owners. ✅ What We Require: Minimum 2 years of professional dog training experience (proof required) Strong skills in positive reinforcement methods Fluent spoken and written English (essential) Valid driver’s license (required for travel to client homes or training locations) Ability to work independently and lead sessions Passionate about animal behavior and welfare Confident working with clients and dogs of all breeds and sizes Trainers who rely on food or treats as compensation will not be considered — we do not support food-dependence-based training ❌ Important Notes: This is not a training position — you must already be a qualified and experienced professional Do not apply if you are new to dog training or expect to be trained We will require references, videos, or documentation proving your experience 💼 What We Offer: A professional, supportive environment with growth opportunities Work visa sponsorship for the right candidate Competitive salary: NZD $30/hour (based on experience) Opportunities to expand your skill set in a high-standard facility Company vehicle provided for pick-up/drop-off responsibilities 📩 How to Apply: Please send the following to info@thewagclub.nz: Updated CV in English Proof of experience (portfolio, reference letters, videos, certifications) A short cover letter describing your training style and relevant experience
