Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, grooming, and dressing. Supporting bladder and bowel care needs. Household Assistance: Meal preparation and ensuring dietary needs are met. Light cleaning and laundry duties. Mobility and Exercise: Assisting with transfers, including the use of mobility aids. Supporting participation in tailored exercise programs. Community Engagement: Accompanying the client on outings, shopping trips, and appointments. Supporting social activities to foster community involvement. Travel Assistance: Providing care and support during domestic and international travel as required. Skills and Experience: Prior experience as a Support Worker or in a caregiving role is preferred. Knowledge of working with clients with physical disabilities, particularly spinal cord injuries, is an advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and responsibly. Full driver’s license is highly desirable. Qualifications: Relevant experience in healthcare, disability support, or a related field are preferred but not mandatory. Current first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one). This position is based in Papamoa Beach and is a minimum of 30 hours per week.
