Independent Stevedoring Limited (ISL) is a company engaged in the loading/unloading of ships to serve our customers at the Port of Tauranga. We are recruiting for some keen hands-on workers to join our stevedoring team. Stevedores are tasked with the manual labour involved with unloading and loading ships. Conditions of employment • Permanent full-time shift work • Up to 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 schedule (days, nights, weekends) • Minimum 32-hour weekly guaranteed pay • Start / Training rate is $27/Hr with clear progression • Additional hourly allowances, including night shift allowance. • Full training provided Key requirements • Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or citizenship. • Experience is not necessary but advantageous • Communicate clearly and concisely • Participate actively in Health and Safety matters within the company • Provide 2 relevant referees • Physical fitness • We will commence our selection process immediately. • All candidates must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment drug test and regular random drug and alcohol testing.
