Description

As one of our drivers, you will be responsible for the smooth and timely transition of products to avoid temperature deviations from the port to our processing site at Portside Drive. Your route will rotate, returning to the port with empty dolavs to load fish. You will also be required to transport products to and from third-party cold storage facilities. Although your primary responsibility will be as a truck driver, this also involves forklift operations. Your role is to ensure all movements are safe and the product remains suitable for its intended purpose, uncompromised by the actions or inactions of truck and forklift operations. You will adhere to port and Pelco policies and procedures. Administration will include compliance tasks such as record-keeping (for MPI verification), truck and forklift pre-start checks, and logbook records. We are a small team, so with the aim to maximise your hours, you will also be required to operate a forklift and assist your team between truck and forklift duties. As a seasonal company, working hours will vary, sometimes resulting in a short-term rotating shift system during the season. Licenses required: minimum Class 4, ideally Class 5, a current forklift certificate, and ideally F endorsement (however, if you are not F endorsed, we will provide this training). Thank you.
