Full job description We are expanding our team and seeking 05 an experienced Carpenter to contribute to our dynamic projects. We're looking for 05 skilled Hammer Hands to join our team! Execute precise and accurate carpentry work using wood, plywood, wallboard and other materials. Interpret plans and work from construction drawings and plans. Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Primary Responsibilities: Interpreting Plans: Reviews blueprints, specifications, and drawings to determine necessary carpentry materials, dimensions, and installation methods. Constructing Frameworks: Sets up, constructs, and erects wall and ceiling frames, builds eaves, and installs roof trusses. Building Structures: Constructs and installs walls, flooring systems, external stairs, paneling, and partitions using various fasteners like nails, screws, and brackets. Installing Fixtures: Fits and installs windows and doors in wall frames, including associated furnishings such as hinges, handles, and locks. Repairing and Renovating: Repairs and renovates wooden structures by removing and replacing damaged or deteriorated timber. Formwork Construction: May build and install formwork for concrete structures. Job pre-requisites Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Relevant trade qualification in carpentry would be an advantage (not a must) NZ Full Drive License Proficient in reading and interpreting constructions drawings Strong knowledge of construction techniques Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Commitment to safety standards and practices Open full-time work right in New Zealand Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per week (based on qualifications and experience) Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday
