We're on the lookout for a Traffic Controller to join our dynamic team in Whakatāne. This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) offering variety, career progression, and the satisfaction of working on meaningful projects—including those driving our shift to sustainable and renewable energy. Reporting to the Traffic Management Supervisor, you will be assisting with: * Ensure the safety of Horizon Networks staff by setting up, managing and removing the temporary traffic control schemes and signage. * Building strong long-term relationships with our customers with excellent customer service and technical support To be successful, a candidate must have the following qualifications, experience and skills: * STMS, TMO (P) or TTM Worker qualification * Current Manual NZ Drivers Licence including heavy traffic (class 2) * 1 to 3 years in associated activities. * Knowledge of CoPTTM. * Knowledge of all appropriate industry rules and regulations. * Must be a self-starter demonstrating an energetic and conscientious attitude The Horizon Energy Group takes pride in its commitment to the health and safety of all its stakeholders. To support this, you will have excellent communication and problem solving skills, sound industry and product knowledge, be safety focussed at all times, possess a high degree of initiative, able to think clearly under pressure and most of all be a team player. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand, and if successful will need to meet pre-employment screening requirements, including drug and alcohol testing, reference checks and a pre-employment medical assessment.
