The Role: Our drive thru Timber Yard team are looking for someone who loves delivering first-class customer service and doesn't mind a bit of hard work! This is a challenging but rewarding role, working together with the Trade and Dispatch teams. Your primary focus will be assisting our Trade and DIY customers with helpful and accurate advice, making sure they have everything they need to complete their projects. A good level of physical fitness is required to help lift timber and other materials, as well as to be on your feet all day. The successful candidate will be required to work 5 days (40 hours) per week including one day of the weekend (Tuesday to Saturday). You will have a positive impact on sales, building long term trust based relationships and going the extra mile will be the norm for you. About You: You will be able to bring a drive and energy for getting the job done right. Previous customer service experience and/or building and timber knowledge would be an advantage, but it is your strong personal values, in alignment with ours, that will make you successful at Mitre 10. For this position a full, clean NZ driver licence is essential and current F endorsed forklift certification is an advantage. However, if you have a full licence and a willingness to learn we will happily put you through forklift licence training.
