The Role As our Faults Billing Analyst, you'll be responsible for validating and processing all fault-related billing across our electricity distribution contracts. You'll work closely with field operations, finance, and commercial teams to ensure completed jobs are accurately costed, coded, and invoiced. Your work will directly support Northpower's revenue recovery, reporting accuracy, and compliance with our service agreements. Responsibilities: * Review and validate fault response job data including time, materials, and job completion status * Accurately prepare and process billing cards in preparation for billing for faults work under regulated and customer-specific contracts * Reconcile work orders, investigate discrepancies, and follow up with operational teams to resolve issues * Maintain and update billing records in ERP and service management systems * Support internal reporting on faults volumes, billing performance, and audit readiness * Identify opportunities for process improvement in the billing cycle and contribute to automation and system enhancements Experience * Experience in billing or finance activities and processes — ideally in utilities, infrastructure, or a service-based industry * Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills * Solid Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systems * Understanding of job costing, revenue recovery, and basic accounting principles * Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders * A proactive attitude and desire to contribute to continuous improvement About us: Northpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangarei and Kaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers.
