We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Transport Professional class 4 to join the team at our Rotorua Branch, the role is a 4-month fixed term contract. If you have a can do will do attitude and experience in moving general freight, then we would like to talk to you. Min 40 hours per week - Fixed term 4 month Contract What you can also offer us: Your full NZ Class 4 licence with at least 2 experience on our roads. Your D endorsement and forklift certificate. You’re a team player who’s willing to assist where needed. You’re good humored and easy going with a strong work ethic. You’ll have solid computer skills and the ability to learn new technology - essential as we use electronic logbooks. Commitment to health and safety. Must be drug free - we will do pre-employment testing. The job can be physically demanding, so you will need to be fit and healthy. What we can offer you: Competitive hourly rate. Direct Fats and Oils (DFO) is a nationwide company who collect, and process used cooking fats and oils, to be reused repurposed on a global scale. Giving a waste product new life. Hourly rate - "Negotiable for the right driver " A good portion of the working week is made up of full days driving and competing collections around the lower North Island from DFO's vast array of customers, whom you will communicate with at times- a through and diligent work ethic is required for this. These are at time long days, with a full workload. (Hours can range from 45-60 per week) DFO have a variety of trucks in their fleet, from small flat decks to larger vacuum sucker trucks. Once you've mastered your craft, be your own boss and manage your runs accordingly. DFO are looking for someone who is willing to wear a variety of hats... To better understand the full scope of the job, you will learn and assist in the yard also, which includes processing the product and general upkeep of the site. This can involve heavy labor and getting a bit messy. Someone physically fit is essential. Required: • Full class 4 license • Forklift- F endorsement (preferred, but not essential) • Proven experience in the transport industry • Class 2 & 4 Driver / Operator experience (manual trucks too) • A New Zealand resident, or the legal right to work in NZ • An unwavering commitment to Health & Safety • A can do and positive attitude. Interacting with our customers on a daily basis • Physical fitness.
