At TNZ, we are proud to be a vital part of New Zealand’s vibrant horticulture community. Are you an experienced Loader Operator ready for your next challenge? We are looking for a motivated Loader Operator to join our Reporoa site. This crucial role involves the safe and efficient operation of loaders, our mobile screening plant and excuvators. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity while ensuring our site is well-organised and orderly. This role will work alongside our current Team Leader, who is dedicated to supporting our development site in Reporoa, as well as providing assistance to our locations in Nelson and Invercargill. Our Head Office is located in Invercargill, but we maintain a live connection with our wider team, who are always available to provide support and guidance. This is a full-time, permanent position offering security and stability. We are looking for someone who is driven to succeed, motivated by measurable results, a self-starter, and a team player who enjoys early mornings. Key Responsibilities: * Operate equipment including loaders, excavators, and mobile screening plants. * Efficiently load and unload trucks. * Preform minor maintenance on all site equipment, and engage with contractors as required. * Utilise downtime productively by maintaining site cleanliness and completing additional operational tasks. We are currently looking to hire drillers who have experience in geotechnical and civil construction. The roles are primarily Auckland-based, but the successful applicants will be required to travel around New Zealand as per projects requirements and we would be open to discussing options for people with the right experience. About the role • Undertake and lead drilling and other geotechnical on-site construction activities. • Maintaining, managing and servicing drilling equipment. • Keep up to date with new drilling technologies. • Maintain high Health & Safety standards and ensure others on site adhere to good Health & Safety practices. • Managing Health & Safety paperwork, drill logs, installation records, daily briefings and incident reports. • Ensure any actions that may impact the environment is reported to your supervisor and / or acted immediately. About you • Full, clean Class 1 driver license or overseas equivalent with W,T,R endorsement • New Zealand Residency or valid work visa • Be physically fit. • Demonstrate a good track record in technical delivery and paperwork • Good attitude toward Health and Safety • Good communication skills Preferable skills and experience: • Experience in the civil construction industry. • Experience operating excavator mounted or tracked drill rigs for geotechnical construction. • Experience in steel fixing or shotcrete application would be seen as beneficial. • IRATA, IRAANZ, EWP or Forklift trade certificates would be advantageous but not essential. • First aid and site safe/construct safe qualifications preferred but not essential.
