Canonndale Leftie

The last model Cannondale made in USA. Breaks my heart to part with this beautifully made machine but it has been idle in garage for about 10 years and it's a shame to not use it. It has an 8-speed Shimano hub gear which permits gear change when stationary (great in traffic), very smooth. Disc brakes, Single, central, fully adjustable and lockable front shock absorber. Left front 'Fork', You'll have to read Cannondale's logic on this but it works really well. Brooke's leather saddle and lace-wound leather hand grips (the picture shows no seat wear or deformation , i.e. virtually unused). I bought this bike new in Sydney in 2010 with a view to riding in the city for exercise but found the streets very bike-unfriendly with so much kerb parking and heavy traffic so it stood parked in my underground garage. I moved to NZ in 2011 and, with too much work to do and living at the top of the hills to the north of Rotorua it remained in my garage, completely dry and protected ever since. I have to label this bike as used even though it has only been ridden for about 10 hours total. I did change the tyres to wider ones with an idea to cope with muddy tracks but were never put into action. Designed as a road/trail bike it is classified as a 'hybrid'. A collectors item. I have the origina manual with it and there is also a rear, removable carrier and pump. I can deliver free in Rotorua and surrounds.
