Description

As a Pouāwhina, your primary mahi is to walk alongside the whānau toward a valued life of their choosing. You will actively engage with them in a hands-on capacity and collaborate closely with them. Your tasks will encompass a range of activities including grocery shopping, meal planning, preparation and cooking, laundry, light cleaning, and household support. You will need to motivate the person to engage in regular physical exercise. As a Pouāwhina, your mahi is to assist, so that they can maintain their active participation in daily living, both at home and in the community. You will need a full drivers licence and owning your own vehicle is essential. You need to be someone who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box.

About The Role | Nga mahi We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team, delivering recovery-focused care that supports tāngata whaiora to regain independence and reintegrate into the community. The Registered Nurse plays a key clinical role within the service, working alongside support workers to ensure safe and effective care. You will work collaboratively to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. You will work directly with the whai ora, identifying strengths, goals, and issues. Along with this you will also be coordinating (key working) allocated whaiora; entry, client pathway, reviews external client meetings as well as exit.
