The Opportunity: A unique opportunity in the Hospitality industry, working in our onsite bar, attached to the brewery in Lyall Bay. Being an independently owned business, working alongside the wider Parrotdog team, holds the opportunity to curate a role to suit the candidate. Role Purpose: These two Duty Manager positions hold the opportunity to curate a unique DM role suited to the candidates strengths, with the opportunity to lean into areas such as beer education, tours and tastings, administration, marketing and events coordination. These roles will ideally be full time positions, working Wednesday to Sunday on rotating shifts between 11am - late. About Us: Parrotdog was conceived in 2011 out of a love for good beer by three guys named Matt. Today, we have grown this love for beer into an industry leading operation producing high quality beers, recognised as New Zealand’s Champion Large Brewery last year. An award winning venue, Parrotdog Bar is a traditional-style bar with 17 revolving taps showcasing our range. What you’ll need to be successful in this role: * A current duty manager’s licence * Previous hospitality or customer service experience in a fast paced venue * A passion and vision to curate a quality customer experience * Leadership skills, with an approachable and positive attitude These roles hold the potential to lean into a variety of different areas of the Bar depending on the candidates interested and skillset, opportunities could include: * Beer - developing and leading beer tastings, with a direction connection to Parrotdog’s Brewing team * Marketing - someone with a keen eye for detail to oversee the logistics of Marketing administration in the Bar, build community connections and support in events organisation * Administration - someone with a systems and processes driven mindset, supporting in administrative organisation through ordering and inventory management We are keen to hear from everyone who is interested, please include your cover letter and CV. This is not mandatory, and training on this will be provided. As the duty manager, communication with our chefs will be vital and central to your role.
