Manufacturing a range of product lines, our planers have frequent changeovers, giving operators more variety of work. Responsibilities include: * Setting up and operating machines. * Meeting quality standards and productivity targets. * Completing maintenance and general troubleshooting of machines. * Ensuring documentation is completed and correct. * Assisting with toolroom operations as required. A trade qualification in timber machining and experience operating planer machinery is essential. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 5am to 3pm, 47.5 hours per week. To be successful you will: * Hold a NZ recognised trade qualification in Fabrication L4 or equivalent * Have proven experience in heavy metal fabrication * Ability to work effectively collaborating within a dynamic team on both breakdown and scheduled work * Proficiency in welding, gas cutting, arc air * Have demonstrated history of being a team player and a ‘Safety first’ approach to planning and carrying out non-routine tasks * Analytical troubleshooting ability Hours of work are 40 hours Friday - Monday, on a weekend dayshift with occasional overtime available as required.
