Security Operations Centre Operator in Rotorua - On call Kia haumaru ai tatou katoa We’re FIRST Security, one of New Zealand’s market leaders in security. About the role: We have a on call casual opportunity to join our Rotorua team. These specialist roles within a Security Operations Centre will be different, with unique challenges daily but it’s all about people engagement - listening, observing, and helping. The duties will include: Receiving alerts from remote cameras, triaging the alerts and taking appropriate follow-up action Receiving calls from forest users who are having trouble gaining access through remote gates, vetting their credentials and remotely opening the gates (if appropriate) Proactively monitoring security cameras across the forest Dispatching forest security patrols and/or police to incidents Providing client reporting Managing user credentials within the operating systems (NX Witness, Gallagher Command Centre, Milestone). What we can offer you: Casual hours- on call when needing cover Full and ongoing training provided A supportive Team environment Pay rate of $31.00 per hour Essential skills: Communication skills - both written and verbal - incident/shift reports/Radio comms Great computer literacy skills and excellent attention to detail Be a people person and be solution focused. Work well under pressure and ability to multitask Ability to obtain a COA (we can assist you in getting this) High level of computer literacy Ability to work across a 24/7 roster pattern Desirable skills: Previous experience working in a call centre or control room environment Experience working with CCTV and/or access control software (eg NX Witness, Gallagher Command Centre, Milestone) Further Benefits: 24/7 Welfare Team support ensuring the safety of our officers on shift.
