Lead Diesel Technician (Leading Hand)

We're seeking a seasoned Diesel Technician looking to flex his or her leadership muscles!!This role is perfect for a hands-on Heavy Transport expert ready to take the next step in their career, combining technical prowess with leadership responsibilities. You'll be instrumental in guiding our technicians, ensuring top-tier service quality, and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the heavy transport industry. Key Responsibilities Include: * Diagnose and repair * Supervise and mentor the technicians * Encouraging Team Collaboration and Efficiency * Allocating tasks * Managing repair schedules * Ensuring timely completion of Customer Delivery * Quality Assurance , Compliance, & Health/Safety * Ensuring customer satisfaction * Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing professional development for team members -What We’re Looking For: *Minimum (5) years in the heavy vehicle transport industry, with at least (2) years in a supervisory or lead technician role. *Proficient in servicing and repairing DAF, Cummins, or Kenworth engines; adept with computer and mechanical diagnostics. *NZQA Level 4 Certification in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Road Transport strand) or equivalent *Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License (Class 4 & 5) *Familiarity with SAF and BPW systems, COF servicing, gearbox and differential maintenance *Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities; commitment to safety and quality.
