Lead Diesel Technician (Leading Hand)

We're seeking a seasoned Diesel Technician looking to flex his or her leadership muscles!!This role is perfect for a hands-on Heavy Transport expert ready to take the next step in their career, combining technical prowess with leadership responsibilities. You'll be instrumental in guiding our technicians, ensuring top-tier service quality, and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the heavy transport industry. Key Responsibilities Include: * Diagnose and repair * Supervise and mentor the technicians * Encouraging Team Collaboration and Efficiency * Allocating tasks * Managing repair schedules * Ensuring timely completion of Customer Delivery * Quality Assurance , Compliance, & Health/Safety * Ensuring customer satisfaction * Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing professional development for team members -What We’re Looking For: *Minimum (5) years in the heavy vehicle transport industry, with at least (2) years in a supervisory or lead technician role. *Proficient in servicing and repairing DAF, Cummins, or Kenworth engines; adept with computer and mechanical diagnostics. *NZQA Level 4 Certification in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Road Transport strand) or equivalent *Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License (Class 4 & 5) *Familiarity with SAF and BPW systems, COF servicing, gearbox and differential maintenance *Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities; commitment to safety and quality. We offer a wide range of shift patterns and have numerous positions to fill. You job will be to Service, fix and Repair Heavy Transport equipment . Off Highway Diesel Mechanic Diesel Mechanics Wanted: Rotorua Based (Working in Kaingaroa) Rotorua Forest Haulage Ltd are looking for experienced heavy diesel mechanics with a passion for the transport industry to join the Rotorua based team operating in Kaingaroa. This roll is based at our Webb Road workshop servicing our off-highway fleet, transport will be provided from Rotorua or surrounding areas. This role is unique as it will see the successful candidate servicing large purpose built gear located in the middle of a substantial forestry estate. To be considered for this role you must: • Be drug free (We carry out pre-employment testing) • Have relevant trade qualifications and experience • Be able to work to deadlines under pressure • Have excellent communication skills • Be fit and healthy (this is large gear) • Have an uncompromising approach to health and safety • Be trustworthy and take pride in your work In return we offer you: • Competitive hourly rates • A flexible roaster • Immediate start • Opportunity to upskill for the right candidate • Define career growth path You must be located in New Zealand and be eligible to work here before applying.
