





The Role The Part-Time Accounts Assistant provides high-quality administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth and accurate operation of the branch. This role focuses on key financial, inventory, and documentation processes that enable effective customer service, production flow, and compliance. Working 20–25 hours per week, the Accounts Assistant will collaborate closely with the Branch Manager and wider branch team to maintain the integrity of branch financial data, stock management, and reporting within the business management system. The ideal candidate will: • Have a great work ethic and not be afraid of hard work • Work within supportive team to effect proactive change • Believe in awesome communication and getting the job done to an exceptional level • Support the implementation of a best practice culture; and • Have great written and oral communication and reporting skills The main responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant role include: • Accurate and timely processing of customer invoicing • Process and receipt inwards goods to maintain up-to-date stock records • Manage the documentation and submission process for NZ Steel warranties • Liaise regularly with the Branch Manager, Group Support Senior Accountant and the BA Hub to ensure consistent financial and administrative processes • Support the accounts team in Group Support with data or reporting requirements relating to branch operations • General accounts administration duties In addition to the above you will be an active member of the admin team and support the customer service team from time-to-time. You will work between Monday and Friday. The hours can be tailored to suit the right candidate and will total 20-25 hours per week. Who are we?
