The Role As a Security Technician, you'll work independently and as part of our team to install, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems including access control, CCTV, and intruder detection. You'll manage your own projects, work directly with clients, and contribute to our reputation for excellent service. What You'll Need Essential Requirements: • Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience with: ◦ Access Control systems ◦ IP CCTV installation and configuration • Full NZ driver's licence (clean record) • Eligibility for Certificate of Approval (COA) - requires clean criminal history relevant to security industry • Strong IT skills including: ◦ Network configuration and IP addressing ◦ Basic server/NVR setup ◦ Mobile device and app configuration • Ability to work independently and manage your own project timelines • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and IT personnel • Commitment to quality and attention to detail • NZ residency or valid work visa Desirable (but not essential): • Experience with fire alarm systems • Data cabling and structured cabling knowledge • Familiarity with any of these systems: ◦ Inner Range (Integriti / Inception / Concept 4000) ◦ Gallagher ◦ ICT Protege ◦ DSC / Ajax / Paradox ◦ Milestone / Hikvision / Dahua / Axis We value keen learners and provide training on our specific systems.
