





**Waikato** **About the Business:** - The Salvation Army Bridge: Midland exists to provide safe, integrated, high quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol and or other drug use. Our services are evidenced based best practise and are known for being people-centred, caring, transformative and responsive. - We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Addictions Counsellor or Social Worker for our residential programme based in Hamilton. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provision of casework that provides integrated care for those experiencing co-existing problems of addiction and mental health. - Group facilitation. - Working within the framework of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Model of Treatment. - Implementation of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Policies and Procedures. **Our ideal candidate:** - Tertiary Alcohol and Drug qualifications or qualifications in a closely related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing. - DAPAANZ professional registration, or an equivalent health registration or working towards obtaining. - Experience in working with people with addictions, individually, in groups, and with their significant others. - Experience in carrying clinical workloads. - An awareness of the requirements of the treaty of Waitangi and be willing to work from a bi-cultural perspective. - Ability to work with people from other diverse backgrounds and cultures. - Ability to work within a team environment and independently when required. - An empathy with the overall Mission of The Salvation Army - Caring for People, Transforming Lives, and Reforming Society. - Candidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society'. **Our offer to you:** - Subsidised flu vaccinations. - Free confidential counselling services to support your wellbeing. - TSA discount card for discount with various retailers such as Noel Leeming, Placemakers, Warehouse Stationery, Repco, etc. **Hours of work:** This is a fixed term contract role of **16 hours** per week, worked Thursday and Friday 8am - 4.30pm. **The starting salary** for this role will fall between **$68,037 and $102,000 pro rata per annum**.
