**About the Role:** The Salvation Army Bridge Centres exists to provide safe, integrated, high-quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our services are evidenced based best practice and are known for being people-centered, caring, transformative and responsive. The Salvation Army Bridge Programme currently has a vacancy for a **suitably qualified and experienced senior Residential Support Worke**r to be our Coordinator. Versatility will be required regarding hours, and will include one shift per weekend. This is a split role covering 2 days as a residential support worker and 3 days in the co-ordinator role, and includes meeting with team members on other sites across all shifts. The applicant must have **experience** in support work in an addiction or mental health setting, hold a National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work Level 4 (or equivalent), and have experience managing staff and completing rosters. The ability to work in a culturally appropriate and safe manner with Maori and Pacific peoples is essential as is a full / clean driver's license. **What will your responsibilities be:** - To provide a supportive and safe environment for clients within an alcohol and drug residential treatment facility. - Uphold The Salvation Army's Mission and Christian ethos. - Value and respect the individuality, dignity and privacy of each client of the Bridge Programme. - Preserve confidentiality of clients' personal information. - Maintain good communication with clients, family/whanau, and other team members. - Committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi as they apply to The Salvation Army Bridge Programme. - Clients receive care without discrimination on the basis of race, culture, health, sexual orientation or age. - Provide training for residential support worker staff. - Complete rosters to ensure adequate cover is available for staff absences. - Work across multiple sites. **Our offer to you:** - An additional 5 days leave - Free confidential counselling services to support your wellbeing - Subsidised flu vaccinations - Free car parking **Hour of work:** Permanent **40 hours** to be worked either **Tuesday to Saturday 7:45 am to 4:15 pm or Sunday to Thursday 7:45 am to 4:15 pm** **The expected salary** for this role will be between **$70,030.06** and **$72,917.94** depending on experience The Salvation Army is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and believes workplaces thrive with diversity. **This role is not open to previous applicants** The Salvation Army is a worldwide evangelical Christian church and human service provider.
