He aha tāu e mahi ana | What You’ll Be doing: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a critical role focused on delivering engineering and operational maintenance technical expertise to ensure optimal performance, business continuity and achievement of agreed KPIs. Key Responsibilities: • Preventative Maintenance of plant machinery • Assist in the day-to-day efficient running of Plant Equipment. • Diagnostics and fault finding. • Adhere to OHS guidelines at all times. • Identify potential problems or efficiency improvements to a process. • Communicate and report to internal management. No day is the same at Moana, so be prepared to be on the go, juggle multiple priorities and work with a variety of people. As a doer, no job will be too small or big and you will be comfortable working both autonomously and in a team. Ko ngā mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitu te haere |What you’ll need to be successful: This role requires a hardworking, reliable, and motivated individual, with a minimum of 3-5 years’ proven engineering maintenance experience in a small to medium sized operation, ideally in FMCG. You will have experience with operations that operate shifts and have mechanical, electrical and operational expertise as well as demonstrable leadership capability and business acumen. You will need the following experience: • A minimum of 3 plus years’ experience as a trade qualified, preferably dual trade (Mechanical/Electrical) with mechanical bias Maintenance Engineer • Sound mechanical knowledge and experience is essential (Electrical knowledge and experience to be advantageous) • Ability to work under pressure while adhering to Moana’s values. • Experience with the repair and maintenance of conveyor systems, all types of pumps, robotics systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and vacuum systems. • Exceptional mechanical problem-solving skills with the ability to use technical manuals to assist, and the ability to build preventative maintenance programs. • Strong attention to detail. Be reliable and self-motivated as this position gives a large degree of autonomy, backed by a supportive maintenance team. • A good level of computer literacy so that you can operate a CMMS system, detailing engineering repairs, booking parts, adding labour and closing out work orders. • Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to work to priorities and deadlines. • To be a strong team player with an excellent internal customer service ethic, a good sense of humour and a ‘can do’ attitude. Be a good team player and show a commitment to engineering excellence, quality and health & safety practices. This is a hands-on role and requires someone versatile, safety focused, who can navigate through ambiguity, build robust workplans, and be future and solution focused. You will be meticulous in maintaining equipment.
