Dependent on your skills and abilities, we are offering salary rates from $115k to $135 per annum. ABOUT US Our business is all about industrial energy plant and related ancillaries. We design, manufacture and install large energy plants for industry. The plants we install are industry leading, and we pride ourselves on constantly resetting the bar within our industry. Our business has been operating for 19 years, and we have grown considerably in the last 5 years. We have 50 staff based throughout New Zealand with our head office and workshop based in Palmerston North. We have service centres based in Christchurch, Taupo and Hamilton. A large portion of our business is dedicated to renewable energy solutions. We are actively helping New Zealand industry decarbonise reducing our countries reliance on coal and gas. JOB TITLE • Heavy Fabrication Workshop Manager based at our factory in Palmerston North PURPOSE • To manage our Workshop based team specialising in heavy fabrication and pressure pipe spooling. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and manage our workshop team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement • Oversee production schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining high stands with an emphasis on quality and a goal for zero defects leaving the workshop • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and suppliers to meet project specifications and deadlines • Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with our company health and safety polices • Manage workshop resources, including equipment, materials, and labour • Monitor and control workshop budgets, costs, and productivity metrics • Implement and improve workshop processes and workflows for optimal efficiency • Conduct performance reviews, training, and development for staff QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Proven experience in managing heavy fabrication workshops • Strong leadership and management skills • Excellent understanding of fabrication processes, welding standards, and quality assurance • Demonstrate knowledge of Worksafe regulations and a commitment to a safe working environment • Experience with project scheduling and resource planning • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Relevant qualifications in engineering, fabrication and management are preferred If you can see yourself in this exciting position, and can bring the right skills and experience to support our team, email your CV and cover letter to: brendon@energyplantsolutions.co.nz For more information on us you can visit: http://www.energyplantsolutions.co.nz
