As we prepare for our busy onion export season, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated graduate to join our team as a Quality Controller. This fixed-term, seasonal role provides an excellent entry point into the horticulture industry — with the potential for a permanent role after the season for the right person. What you’ll be doing • Assisting with product inspections and quality checks throughout the packing process • Monitoring product condition and ensuring compliance with customer and export standards • Supporting MPI phytosanitary and export documentation processes • Recording accurate data and contributing to quality improvement initiatives • Working closely with the Packhouse and Quality teams to ensure smooth daily operations What you’ll bring • A degree (or nearing completion) in Horticulture, Agriculture, or Food Science • Strong attention to detail and a passion for growing quality produce • Great communication and teamwork skills • A proactive, positive attitude and eagerness to learn • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems Location: Pukekohe Fixed-term: Approximate dates 6 January – 8 May 2026 (Start date December) Hours: 40 hours per week (additional hours may be required during peak periods) Why join Wilcox?
