





We have opportunities for multiple Mechanical Fitters / Turners / Machinists to join our Marine and Industrial Engineering company, based at our Lyttelton dockside workshops. Occasional short term project deployment throughout New Zealand is a part of these roles, for which appropriate travel expenses and allowances are provided. The role will include the following responsibilities: - • One-off or small batch machining of metal components using manual lathes, milling and boring / drilling machines. • Mechanical servicing of ship’s propulsion systems, main and auxiliary engines and hydraulic systems. • Annual maintenance servicing and inspections of large process heat plant boilers and pressure vessels. • Assembly of newly fabricated items of plant and equipment. • Site installation work as part of our large heat plant project delivery. • Factory repairs and maintenance work at our customers sites. As such, these positions would suit persons with at least 3 years’ experience in a jobbing workshop environment, including ship repair and boiler / pressure vessel servicing work. A trade qualification would also be beneficial.
