





Roundwood New Zealand is a small family-owned business based in Tokoroa. We Manufacture Construction Poles, Square House Piles, Fence Posts and horticultural vine support products for wholesale to the retail market. The business is in its 41st year of operation and continues to grow and develop inline with its customer base. We are looking for a person to join our Sales and Marketing team as Sale Manager. You’ll be at the forefront of our business, fostering relationships with existing clients and identifying new opportunities to expand our market presence. This is an autonomous role with a typical week involving four days visiting customers (Monday- Thursday) and one day at our Office (Fridays). The position covers the central and lower North Island, focusing on developing, maintaining and strengthening our customer relationships through approachable, reliable and honest service, coupled with quality product at competitive prices. You will be managing a portfolio of clients ranging from large corporate chains to Sole Traders. It is a pivotal role requiring direct internal relationships with the Directors, Business Manager, Customer Services Manager, Dispatch Manager and site staff. The tools of the trade are supplied, a modern vehicle with full personal use, phone and laptop as well as a workstation at our manufacturing facility. The successful applicant will be personable, reliable, honest, self-motivated, goal driven and well presented. They will thrive on building positive relationships and achieving good outcomes for their customers. They will have the ability to gain market intel by asking well placed questions and following up on quoting opportunities. Prior experience although desirable, is not necessarily required, as the right person can be taught what they do not know. It is not necessary to live locally.
