About Heatrite Heatrite is one hundred percent locally owned operated company with over 60 years servicing the Manawatu and Tararua District. We have one of the largest specialised bathroom, heating and Weber display centres in New Zealand. The showroom exhibits a large and wide range of the latest and best in Bathroomware, Heating and Weber products with many working models. About the role This is a fixed term role from early August 2025, through to March 06 2026. The hours are Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm, rostered Saturdays 9am - 12:30pm and some rostered Sundays in December. As part of the Heatrite team, the Retail Assistant will be a versatile and high energy person who will contribute to our goal of providing an industry leading and exceptional in store experience for our customers. You will offer helpful advice and deliver a high standard of service, combined with understanding and knowledge of Heating, and Weber barbecue products. Your day-to-day A typical day will involve: • Selling and merchandising. • Presenting a well-stocked showroom and making our customers feel welcome. • Providing amazing customer service and information about our products. • Maintaining a clean and tidy showroom. Previous experience in the heating, plumbing or building industry is highly desirable. • Experience in customer service. • Excellent administration skills. • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. • Ability to manage a varied and busy work level. • Drive and enthusiasm. • Can use a computer and happy to learn new systems.
