About the Role We’re on the hunt for a Construction Project Manager, preferably with a carpentry background and solid site experience. You’ll be based out of our Paihia office, managing a range of projects throughout Northland. This role suits someone who’s hands-on, organized and enjoys being part of a small, fast paced and busy team. You’ll be reporting directly to the Director, overseeing projects from planning to completion and ensuring they’re delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Our work is spread across the region and often fast paced, so good communication and being organized are a must! Key Responsibilities • Planning, scheduling and managing all stages of construction projects. • Overseeing daily site operations, safety and quality control. • Coordinating with clients, consultants, internal teams and subcontractors. • Keeping projects on budget and on programme. • Managing procurement and materials. • Leading and supporting site teams. • Reporting progress and key updates to the Director. Our Ideal Person: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager or Senior Site Manager. • Trade-qualified carpenter with strong practical and technical know-how. • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field. • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. • A good understanding of NZ3910, Construction Contracts Act, building codes and compliance. • Competent with project management software and scheduling tools. • Familiar with project communication procedures and protocols. • Must be based in NZ and eligible to work in NZ. • Must be willing to undergo and pass Police Vetting (this is required on most of our sites). • Full NZ driver’s license and willingness to travel across Northland.
