At Te Rauparaha Arena we provide the city with a world class facility catering for events ranging from sporting events, conferences, concerts and dinners. We are a seven day a week facility that hosts people from around the country and around the world. Sometimes you may even catch a glimpse of the occasional celebrity. All about the job Our Event Crew assist with the set up and pack down of the facilities required for the various bookings and events at Te Rauparaha Arena. This is a casual position therefore hours will be variable and can be for any day of the week including weekends and evenings. In this role you will: * work in a busy events environment * be physically active and work at a fast paced doing things like setting up staging and carpeting for a concert, sports equipment for a tournament or gymnastics gear for classes * work some evenings and weekends. Porirua City is a living wage accredited employer and the starting rate for this is from $29.00 per hour. All about you Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in a similar physically demanding role or someone who will be dedicated to learning this intense role. We will provide you with a fun, engaging and hardworking, supportive team. You'll need to show us that you: * are you physically fit and like being 'hands on' * are you reliable, customer focused and able to use your initiative * have a clean, full driver's license * enjoy working under pressure to tight timeframes * enjoy working in a hardworking team environment As this is a safety sensitive role, all successful applicants will complete a pre-employment drug test.
