ALH Nelson Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Class A Asbestos Removal Supervisor to lead our specialist team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage all aspects of Class A asbestos removal projects Ensure strict compliance with WorkSafe NZ regulations and company procedures Prepare and review site documentation including control plans, risk assessments, and work permits Oversee the setup and maintenance of asbestos enclosures and decontamination units Lead and mentor removal technicians on-site Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders Requirements: Valid Class A Asbestos Supervisor Certificate (NZQA Unit Standards 29766 & 29767) Current medical clearance & fit test (preferred) Proven supervisory experience in friable asbestos removal (required) Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong understanding of H&S practices and legal obligations Full NZ driver’s licence What We Offer: Competitive pay – negotiable for the right candidate Temp to Perm position Ongoing training and upskilling opportunities Supportive team environment Variety of interesting and challenging projects Opportunities for growth within the company
