Our team are passionate environmentalists, committed to powering the circular economy for future generations of Aotearoa New Zealand. **Job Description**We have an opportunity for an Operator to join the team at the West Auckland Resource Recovery Transfer Station in a full-time role. **About the role** In this role, you will have the responsibility of collecting, sorting and disposing of waste and recyclable material and ensuring the effective MRF operations are carried out in accordance with client requirements and company procedures. - Control the placement of waste and recyclables being deposited by customers - Operate onsite plant and equipment as/if required - Direct traffic and provide general information to customers - Maintain all buildings, grounds, roadways, and landscaping in a clean and tidy condition - Undertake general labouring duties as required - Assist with general administration, completing all records and paperwork as directed **Qualifications**- Experience in the waste industry or production line work (desirable) - Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. - Minimum of Class 1 driver's license with wheels (W) and tracks (T) endorsements. - Mechanical Aptitude (desirable) - Good awareness of safety - Demonstrate a high quality of service **Additional Information**- Guaranteed hours and job security - Competitive hourly rate + company benefits for you and your family to enjoy - Refer a friend scheme $1,500 - Valid and rewarding career path - Rewarding contribution to the community and environment We are an essential service, if you are keen to learn and looking for a driving role, we can offer you a great career with us!
