Wage: $25 - $32 per hour Hours: Mon-Fri, minimum 40 hours per week (Average 48) Job Description • Machine and sand wooden componentry using industrial woodworking machines, power tools and hand tools, to a high standard • Use air tools and compressed air as part of your daily tasks • Ensure that all tasks are undertaken efficiently and cost-effectively, and within the timeframe set • Interacting with the Production Manager to ensure the orders are processed efficiently and accurately • Operate all machinery as required, in a safe and efficient manner, with respect to team members' safety • Display good housekeeping, ensuring work areas are kept free of hazards and tidy • Follow protocols and cutting lists accurately, and notify management of any errors or suggested improvements, immediately • Operate forklift if required (Current License Holders only) • Maintain machinery and plant to a high standard • Ensuring a quality control check is completed on all work leaving your station • Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and requirements • Machinery and equipment maintenance is kept up-to-date with maintenance plans in place to maintain operational excellence, ensuring a high level of safety and minimising downtime • Workstations are kept clean and tidy at all times Requirements for the role • 3+ years' experience in timber machining/Sanding and/or machine operation • Industrial woodworking machine experience would be an advantage. • Read and interpret technical drawings. • Valid forklift license. • Hardworking and strong (Some heavy lifting required). • Very good verbal and written communication skills. • Strong time management skills • Positive can-do attitude
