All steel top cross member for extra strength - MDF timber plates. Made in N Z. NOTE: Additional cheap felts are available from Lincraft & Spotlight at about $6.50 ea. They are 3mm thick x A3 size. Layer up 2 or 3 of these on top of your print paper to give a very good print result. Attached are examples of A4 size MDF print block and the print taken from this block. This press is probably not suitable for acid etched plates or fine definition plates. Etched plates with a very fine definition require a roller press which can apply a large amount of pressure at the point of the rollers.
