You’ll be entering a high-skill workshop that demands excellence, precision, and diagnostic accuracy. We’re not looking for “just a mechanic” — we want someone who can lead by example, solve problems, and continuously improve our operation. Key Responsibilities: • Full servicing and repairs of modern VW Crafter vans, LDV V80, and LDV Deliver 9 • Diagnostics using VW Erwin and manufacturer software • Cambelt replacements, engine removals, and general mechanical tasks • Working with and mentoring other staff to maintain high workshop standards • Strict adherence to factory manuals and service protocols • Occasional supervisory duties or leadership of small teams What We’re Looking For • NZ Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Level 5) (Level 4 considered with supervisory experience) • Experience with VW Erwin, LDV factory manuals, and diagnostic software • 5+ years’ experience working on light commercial vehicles (VW, LDV, Mercedes preferred) • You must have a full NZ drivers license • Fluent in English – reading, writing, and speaking • NZ citizenship or permanent residency is required - No overseas applications please • High physical and mental fitness (this is a hands-on role) • Kind, respectful, reliable — a strong team player with high standards • Organised and willing to research and solve complex issues • Able to cover 1 weekend day on a rotating roster Sept–April Who Will Thrive In This Position? Due to our long standing mechanic moving on, we are currently seeking a qualified heavy diesel technician.
