I’ve had this turntable since the early 1980s and it’s always served me well. I’ve now digitized all my rarer Vinyl and, as we are decluttering, have decided to let it go. The positives… • It is in good cosmetic condition with negligible marks and scratches • The belt is tight and seems fine • The stylus is fine. I remember replacing it years ago and it’s had little use since then • It sounds great • Comes with the operating instructions The (minor) issues… • Stuck on auto-repeat (unless really warmed up). This is no problem as once it restarts to track 1, you can simply cue the arm up and manually pull it back to rest, hence stopping the platter. This is no doubt caused by older, hardened grease in the mechanism preventing it from operating as it should. It’s a common problem of which there are quite a few Youtube videos on the fix. However, the deck is quite usable even with this issue. • Speed variable resistors are a little sensitive. Again, this is a function of age, and lack of use. It can take a little fiddling to get the exact right speed again, if the dials are moved. Speed is pretty accurate once tuned in, however. • There is a tear in the front and back cover of the operating instructions (see photo) Issues 1 and 2 should be easy to solve by a good service (degrease and contact clean). However, these things are minor and easily lived with. PLUS… For my digitizing project I bought a pre-amp off Aliexpress (see photos). I don’t have a use for it now, so it’s available with the turntable. It works just fine! The plug is European so you’ll need one of those travel adaptors. The pre-amp will be useful for those potential owners who want to connect the deck directly to a computer, for their own digitizing projects or listening experience. Check out the photos. Any questions, just ask.
