We are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to join our team to ensure packing runs smoothly and downtime is kept to a minimum. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and inspections on plant and equipment Perform repairs and engineering tasks on machinery Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules Facilitate the identification and resolution of plant reliability issues Implement safety measures for accident prevention Key Skills 3+ years experience in similar maintenance roles Physically fit, reliable, punctual and friendly Robust engineering and welding experience Exceptional problem solving skills and attention to detail Safety focused Possess an can do attitude and strong collaborative approach and have the willingness to jump into any task given Mig and tig welding experience plus general machining capability (lathe and mill) to manufacture components Communicate clearly and professionally in English Work is generally 5 days per week, extended days and hours are required during busy periods Renumeration will be determined by the successful applicants experience The successful applicant shall- Have a strong work ethic and have a high regard for health and safety Take pride in their work therefore producing a high standard of work Have a willingness to work flexible hours either autonomously or as part of a team Have an ability to communicate effectively and take instructions Hold a full and current NZ drivers licence NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test “Growing Healthy Premium Produce in Partnership with Nature is our Priority“ BOSTOCK New Zealand is one of New Zealand’s leading growers and the largest organic apple producer with a proud history of sustainable growing practices.
