About the Role We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Assistant to provide some much needed support to our busy maintenance department at our main processing and growing operation, located near Southbridge. This role is crucial to keeping our business moving, and is responsible for: • Completing jobs as assigned, including preventative maintenance of fixed plant and equipment. • Responding to breakdowns of plant & machinery. • Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and organised at all times, ensuring that all tools and equipment used for maintenance and repairs are put away at the end of the job. • Being proactive and looking for ways to improve the workshop. • Abiding by all Health & Safety Policies and procedures. • Reporting all accidents / incidents, near misses and hazards immediately. • Actively leading and monitoring H&S initiatives to improve H&S within the workplace. • Carrying out any additional duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably required to meet the demands of efficient company functioning.
