We are a growing Indo-Kiwi takeaway looking for a few skilled and dedicatedCooksto join our team as we have purchased an existing business and looking to expand. We plan to keep the takeaway open until 4am. This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours gauranteed. Key Responsibilities: * Preparing, seasoning, and cooking a wide range of Indian and Kiwi-style dishes. * Planning and organizing daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service during extended hours. * Portioning food, plating meals, and ensuring presentation quality. * Monitoring stock and ordering supplies to maintain appropriate inventory. * Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards. * Cleaning kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a hygienic working environment. * Training and supervising kitchen assistants or junior staff as needed. Skills & Experience Required: * Relevant experience as a cook or chef is essential. (preferably in Indian cuisine or fusion food). * Relevant qualification in cookery is essential if the work-experience requirement is not met. * Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices. * Ability to work flexible shifts, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays. * Excellent time management and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
