We are looking for 1 to 2 Cook to join our business in Wellington. The position on offer is for a Permanent Full Time Position. At least 2-year work experience in relevant Job are required. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchen. Key Responsibilities: • Inspect and assess the quality of food ingredients before use • Operate and monitor kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers, adjusting temperatures as required • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to recipes and established standards • Season and adjust food during the cooking process to ensure optimal flavor • Portion and plate dishes, including the addition of sauces, gravies, and garnishes for presentation • Store food properly in temperature-controlled facilities to ensure freshness and safety • Prepare meals that cater to specific dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, allergy-sensitive) • May assist in planning menus and estimating food quantities for ordering and inventory • May help train and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprentices to maintain kitchen standards Have good health, character and a good work ethic, must be a team player. Be able to work unsupervised, be physically fit and reliable. Remuneration will be in the range of $28 to $30 per hour as a start rate and is indicative of the applicant’s background, skills and past work experience, could later earn up to $32 per hour. The employee is offered a normal work week of 40 hours with overtime available as and when required. Presently staff work an average of 40 to 45 per week with normal work hours is 10.00 am to 9.00 pm 7 days in shift. Employees are guaranteed payment for at least 30 hours per week.
